It's just looks like Sapporo, but it's Seattle. Kit and I went to Volunteer park, and found a dragon there.

まるで札幌みたいだけど、シアトルです。キットとボランティアパークへ行ったら、龍がいました。

I love Enka and Kayoukyoku, especially songs about north country and fisherman. There are many songs about Hokkaido.

歌謡曲や演歌が大好きですが、とかく北国と漁師の歌が好き。北海道はしょっちゅう、北国歌謡の舞台になってます。

裕ちゃんは北海道がお好き。

Kit tried Westcrest park off-leash area for the first time with his new friend Croquette. He enjoyed the park a lot. We'll try to go there soon again!

FOXY PUPPY

This is my dog. He is 7 month old Papillon mix boy, named Kit (KITSUNE = Fox in Japanese. not from Knight Rider). My husband and I adopted him in 3 weeks ago from Rescued Paws in Longview, WA. To own a dog is a hard work, but definitely it's fun to live with the little pooch. He wasn't social with the out side world in the beginning, but now he is much better. Kit was grew up like a cat, but now he loves to roll in mud and run crazy in a park, just like a dog. It's my joy to see him that way. Be a dog of the dog, Kit!

犬を飼いました。生後７ヶ月のパピヨンの雑種の男の子、名前はKit （KITSUNEの頭文字。ナイトライダーではない）。ワシントン州ロングビューの動物救助団体 Rescued Paws から、３週間前に引き取りました。犬の世話は「仕事」のように大変だけど、犬との暮らしはとっても楽しい。３週間前はまだ社会性が身に付いておらず、ビクビクして散歩もままならなかったけど、最近やっと普通に歩けるようになり、ヨソの犬も怖がらなくなりました。ネコのように育ったKitが、犬らしく泥んこになって野原を駆け回る姿を見るのが、喜びです。犬らしい犬に育て、Kit！

FoleyGallery is pleased to announce our seventhanniversary exhibition featuring seven different artists, most of whom willbe exhibiting at Foley Gallery for the first time. Although the core of FoleyGallery continues to be photography, there is a growing emphasis on othermedia. The 7^th AnniversaryExhibition is concerned with looking forward and exploring the ways inwhich this diverse and dynamic group of artists translate, create andunderstand our environment.

Yumiko Kayukawa’s acrylic and ink workscombine her immersion in traditional Japanese culture with her adoration ofAmerican pop culture, two worlds that are inextricably linked in her work. Lauren Seiden’s ink and graphitedrawings create new, ethereal environments in which the composition is at once,sturdy and delicate. Each andevery line and layer is intentional and seems absolutely necessary in order tomaintain the structure as a whole. Theways in which our environment is constructed is also realized in Amy Casey’s paintings of housesprecariously stacked or strung together, as she questions the concept of whatit means to be secure in one’s world and find a solid foundation within acommunity.

Combiningthe mediums of painting and photography, BradleyCastellanos is deeply invested in understanding the relationship betweenpeople and the earth: the ways in which they connect with one another, dependon one another and destroy one another. The way we see the world is also highlyinfluenced by film, which is an essential consideration in the art of formercinematographer, David Trulli.Working primarily in scratchboard, Trulli scratches glimpses of city life intoink-coated clay surfaces on masonite with a mastery of perspective andprecision that is unparalleled. DennisMcLeod’s abstract work explores fundamental ideas of simplicity, order, andrepetition, to create a sense of infinite space that exists much deeper thanthe surface, expanding right off the edges of the paper. Zoe Zelby’s paintings are a translation of her personal response toher encounters with different cultures and natural environments, into abstractimages of motion and kinetic energy.

I was going back to my home town Sapporo last month. I bought a bunch of art supplies, clothing, food and etc.... I use this "Artetje camlon pro series" brushes. I like this brushes because it's no animal hair used, and stand up to long use. They are from Japan, and unfortunately I can't buy it in the US...

先月、３年ぶりに札幌に里帰り。絵筆や資料など仕事に使う物はもちろん、服や食べ物をゴッソ買いだめ。筆はアルテージュのキャムロンプロシリーズを使っています。動物の毛を使っていないというところが魅力。人工毛ですが結構長持ちします。こちらの画材店では手に入らないのが辛いところ．．．忙しい中遊んでくれたみんな、ありがとう！ちょっとずつしか会えなかったけど、また帰ってくるからよゥ。

My Seattle show is coming up next month at Roq La Rue Gallery in Belltown. I'm painting the last piece right now. Summer is my favorite season of the year, but I never have summer vacation since I've been a painter. Here is a part of a new painting.

I drew the Ramones on a free tote bag from Japanese magazine "mini". This is the one and only Ramones tote. Not for sale!

Also I went to Cupcake Royal. My favorite "strawberry short cake" was sold out :( This is "Strawberry 66" for instead. Not bad. I hope strawberry month returns!

これさげてカップケーキロイヤルへ。大好きだったストロベリーショートケーキは売り切れ。失意のストロベリー６６。まあおいしいけど。またイチゴ月刊やってちょうだいね。

HOWOOL!

I went this exhibition "Wolves and wild lands in the 21st century" at the Burke museum of natural history & culture. You can tell that how much I love wolves by the top page of my website. I was actually raised by a wolf (because my Ninja father and Geisha mother were too busy). It was a small exhibition, but I was so exited to be very close to real (stuffed) wolves. The white one is a Arctic wolf. dosen't he look like a brother of Princess Mononoke?

バーク自然史＆文化博物館で催し中の、狼の展示会「Wolves and wild lands in the 21st century」に行ってきました。サイトの扉絵でもご存知の通り、私は狼が大好き。実は狼に育てられました（忍者の父と芸者の母は多忙だったため）。展示の数は少ないけど、本物の狼（の剥製）を間近で見れて興奮して一緒に記念撮影。白いのは北極オオカミです。もののけ姫の兄弟みたいでしょ？

There was a small table at the entrance, with post it notes and pencils. People would leave messages and wolf drawing on a board. I'm not a kid but I drew a howling wolf and left it on the board. I came back a few minutes later but my message was gone. Who took away my message for wolf!

この狼の部屋の入り口に小さなテーブルがあって、ポストイットと鉛筆が置かれていました。子供がこれに感想や狼の絵を描いて、壁のボードにペタペタ貼ってます。子供じゃない私も遠吠えする狼の絵を描いてボードに貼り、部屋を出たんだけど、数分後もう一度その部屋に戻ってみたらなくなっていました。ちょっとー誰ですか、私の狼へのメッセージ持ってっちゃったの！

It was my first visit to the museum, and I didn't know that they have dinosaur and animal fossils. I should have come earlier. I am really into this stuff.

この博物館、初めて行ったけど恐竜さんとかいるんだね。もっと早く行っておけばよかったなー。恐竜や昔の生物の化石って、本当に興味深い。何時間見ていても飽きないです。

Anyways, I'm preparing a new print release right now. Soon I'll share more details. Until then!

FROZEN CUSTARD

FINALLY summer has come in Seattle. So yesterday, the 4th July I had picnic in the park. It feels so good to be in the sun. I even got rash from sunshine! Seattle's summer is short, so I feel pressure to make plans to go out. As I'm the famous Ice cream monster, I am so happy to have 3 Ice cream shops in walking distance. This is my favorite, Old School Frozen Custard. Rich and delicious, you better try!

I'm working for some solo and group exhibitions in the US and Europe now. Also a new print release coming up soon. Check back shortly!

やっと、ついに、シアトルにも夏が来た（っぽい）よ。昨日の独立記念日は、公園でピクニックしました。日光湿疹が出るも、おひさまの下はきもちィー。シアトルの夏は短いので、なんかしら外出しなければと焦ります。
さて私は、無類のアイスクリームモンスター。ここ数年で近所に３件もアイスクリームの店ができましたが、一番好きなのはここ、Old School Frozen Custard。こってりおいしい！お試し下さいませ。

現在、アメリカ、ヨーロッパ各地のソロとグループショーに向けて描いています。新作プリントももうすぐ発売予定。お楽しみにー！

SO BUSY...

I'm working on a solo show for Roq La Rue Gallery in Seattle this September. My art life started with this gallery 10 years ago, so 2011 is my 10th anniversary. I'm looking forward to see everyone in Seattle. I'm very busy right now but my reward after this are, going back to Sapporo, adapt a dog and Judas Priest live show. I hope all my dreams come true!

The group exhibition "The Enchanted Forest" at Strychnin Gallery last month is now touring to Italy, at
Civic Museum of Reggio Emilia. The show runs through the end August. Stop by if you have a chance.

９月のRoq La Rue ギャラリー（シアトル）での展覧会に向けて描いています。このギャラリーから私の絵描き人生は始まりました。２０１１年はちょうど１０周年記念の年です。シアトルの皆さんにお会いできることを楽しみにしています。

ART FOR JAPAN IN SEATTLE

It's been about 2 month since the Earthquake hit Japan. It's hard for me to see my home country in such a bad shape.

Since that day, many art groups have invited me for Japan relief shows. I really appreciate the opportunities.

I chose this special event in Seattle to participate in, which is curated by my good friends and great artists Toshi Asai and Ben Beres. The event is a group exhibition with wonderful Japanese artists from Seattle area. 100% of the money towards Peace winds.

I'll donate a limited edition print, 2 kinds of rare posters and toys. They are all "casual price".

So come and grab some goodies before they gone! The event is also a part of "Blitz" - That hip art walk in Capitol Hill. Isn't it fun!? I can't to wait to see you there, my neighbors ;)

震災から早２ヶ月。未だ続く故郷の惨状は胸に刺さります。

JAPAN RELIEF T-SHIRT

It's been a month since the earthquake. I was worried about Japan during that time. Anyways I just wonder if people in Japan really knows how huge the Japan relief campaign is here. People in America immediately started charity for Japan after the earthquake. I am especially surprised about Japan relief T shirts - they are a lots of designs! It's awesome about how much Japan is be loved...
People have come up with some great designs for the purpose and it was very quick, I guess it means that people have a clear image of what Japan is. I'm happy about it.
Thank you so much America, and the world.

東日本大地震から一ヶ月が経ちました。遠くから故郷の安否を思う、不安なひと月でした。
こちらでの日本支援の勢いのすさまじさ、日本でどのくらい知られていますでしょうか。あっと言う間にみんながスクラム組んで、我先にと日本支援に乗り出してくれています。特に驚きなのは、このためにデザインされたTシャツの数々で、その種類の豊富さときたら！怖いほどに愛されてます。

ROCK YOU IN A TATAMI ROOM!

My newest show "Rock you in a Tatami Room" is going on at The Shooting gallery in San Francisco. I had a really good time at the opening reception. It was a day after the earthquake in Japan and I was very upset before. But many people who showed up were real warm and welcoming to me. It made me smile. Thank you so much for your warm support!

The show will run through until April 2nd. I hope you can swing by to The Shooting gallery and enjoy my work in real. I hope my babies makes you smile, too :)

私の最新の展覧会「ロックユーインアタタミルーム」がサンフランシスコのThe Shooting Galleryで開催中です。当日はとても楽しいオープニングレセプションでした。東北関東大震災の翌日で、それまで辛い気持ちでいましたが、来て頂いた大勢の皆さんに暖かく迎えられて笑顔になりました。暖かいご支援をありがとうございました！
